LOGICS (Claire Yoo, Ian Kim, Jimin Lee & Zooey Allen) were Grand Finalists. Zooey was 5th best speaker, Jimin was 2nd best speaker.

Breakerssss (Grace Kim, Jenny Shin, Sophie Choi & Yaya Liu) were Exceptional in EFL, which means they made it to day two.
Devengers (Hyunjoon Jong, Josephine Kim, Kelly Kim & Lauren Kim) were Excellent in EFL, as they lost only one round over the entire event.
ChatterBox (Elyse Oh, Jungwon Lee, Sophia Jeon & Sophia Kang) were Exceptional in the General League, which means they made it to day two.

NSDA International Scrimmage (March 16, 2024)
America’s largest speech and debate organization premiered a couple events in Asia.
Jane Lee earned 2nd place in Original Oratory. Joshua Jaesuh Shin was 4th place in Original Oratory
Claire Na & Jimin Lee earned 5th place in Public Forum debating. Daniel Kwon & Jaehoon Jung got 6th place in Public Forum debating.

East Asia Round Robin (EARR) 8 (March 17, 2024)
This quarterly secondary tournament hosts China, Korea, Taiwan & Vietnam.
Kitchen Sinks (Chehwan Kim, Eliana Joo & Sian Chang) were GRAND CHAMPIONS.
Chehwan was Top Speaker, Eliaana was Best Finals Speaker, Sian was Best Reply Speaker.

Flying Hammers (Leah Lim & Phillip Yoo & Kevin Huh) were ES CHAMPIONS. Leah Lim was Top ES Speaker, 4th best speaker, Phillip Yoo was 5th best ES speaker.
Prime (Sunwoo Lee & Sophia Kang & Jaey Lee) ES Semifinalist. Sunwoo Lee was 4th best ES speaker, 10th best speaker.

Students from grades 5 to 8 competed in both debate and persuasive speaking.
Yubin Baek broke 4th in Debate & ranked 3rd in Debate Finals. She broke 5th in Speech & ranked 5th in Speech Finals. Yubin ranked 3rd Overall.
Claire Heo broke 3rd in Debate & ranked 6th in Debate Finals. She broke 4th in Speech & ranked 6th in Speech Finals. Claire ranked 4th Overall.
Sean (Jihan) Lee broke 2nd in Debate, ranked 2nd in Debate Finals and ranked 5th Overall.
Zooey Allen broke 3rd in Speech and ranked 3rd in Speech Finals. Charley Kim broke 6th in Debate and ranked 4th in Debate Finals.

Paris WSDC 2024 (March 29-31, 2024)
WSDC format tournament with 50 teams; where Korea’s national team was finalists.
Leaders Knights (Chehwan Kim, Irene Park, Minnie Kim & Yoon Kim) broke 8th & were Quarterfinalists. Yoon was #10 EFL Speaker. Charlie was #12 EFL Speaker.
Leaders Queens (Avery Nam, Calire Na, Minjoo Kim & Seah Jin) ranked 3rd in Novice Division. Also in Novice Division,
Leaders Bishops ranked 6th and Leaders Rooks ranked 8th.

Korea National Debating Championship (April 6-7, 2024)
24 teams competed. Team Mage (U13) was 2nd to only the national debate team.
Mage (Claire Na, Daniel Kwon & Jaehoon Jung) broke 1st U13 & were U13 Semifinalists. Claire was #2 U13 & #5 Overall.
Daniel was #3 U13 & #11 Overall. Jaehoon was #4 U13 & #16 Overall.
Full Moon (David Park, Dillon Kim & Mia Davis) broke 1st in U14 & were U14 Finalists. For U14, David was 7th, Mia was 9th & Dillon was 14th.
Roller Coaster (Joseph Kang, Kevin Kim & Sean Chung) broke 1st in U15 & were U15 CHAMPIONS, and 5th ranked team overall.
Shushing (Annie Cho, Bill Cho & Jiseo Lee) broke 2nd in U15 & were U15 Finalists.
Snowman (Jane Helen Lee, Kadyn Jung & Seah Jin) broke 3rd in U15 & were U15 Semifinalists.

World Individuals Debating and Public Speaking Championships (April 14-21, 2024)
8 Finalists is a new best record for Korea at WIDPSC.
Tina (Taehee) Kim and Avy Lee were After Dinner Speaking Finalists. Minseung (Minnie) Kim was a Persuasive Speaking Finalist.
Jane Hahn and Avy Lee were Interpretive Reading Finalists. Seoyeon (Shirley) Park and Alex (Hayoung) Jung were both Debate Finalists.

International Competitions for Young Debaters (April 20, 2024)
42 U15 teams from around the world competed in BP at Oxford University
SPPS Eagles (Bill Cho & Seah Jin) were 5th in ESL. Bill ranked 5th Overall as a speaker & 4th as an ESL Speaker. Seah ranked 8th as an ESL Speaker.
SFS Crusaders (Junseo Lee & Phillip Yoon) ranked 6th among EFL teams and they tied with each other as 11th as ESL Speakers.

Korea Junior National Debating Championships (April 20-21, 2024)
44 young teams from across Korea competed in the event for ages 8 to 13.
Nerd (Michael Kinkwon Jegal, Sophia Gaeun Kim & Sophia Hamon Kang) were U10 Finalists.
Sophia Kang ranked 4th, Sophia Kim 5th and Michal 10th in the U10 division.

International Schools Debating Championship Korea (May 11-12, 2024)
Chadwick’s Debate Club hosted 10 teams for this online debate tournament.
Prime (Jaey Lee, Sophia Kang & Sunwoo Lee) broke 1st in ES and ranked 2nd Overall in Prelims.
They were ES Semifinalists. Sunwoo was #4 ES Speaker. Sophia was #10 ES Speaker.
Skibidi Tigers (Ella Kim, Eunice Yeom & Jeremy Cha) broke 2nd in ES and ranked 4th Overall in Prelims.
They were ES Semifinalists. Ella was #6 ES Speaker and Jeremy was #7.
Flying Hammers (Kevin Huh, Leah Lim & Phillip Yoo) broke 3rd in ES and were 5th Overall in Prelims. Flying Hammers were ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHAMPIONS.
Leah was the Top ES Speaker & 4th overall. Phillip was 5th ES Speaker and Kevin was 10th ES Speaker.

John Locke Essay Competition ( May 26, 2024)
Paul Kim, Jihan Sean Lee, Kaiden Shin, Olivia Park & Abigail Lee were shortlisted for a prize.
They have been invited to London for an invitation-only conference and awards dinner in September.

Korea WSDC Cup (June 15-16, 2024)
KWSDC hosted several teams for their summer fundraiser.
Freedom Fighters (Jaey Lee, Leah Lim & Sunwoo Lee) broke 2nd in ES and were ES Grand Finalists. Leah was the Best Speaker in the ES Grand Final.
UMJ Sigma (Abe Yoo, Sean Lee & Sua Bae) broke 3rd in MS & were MS CHAMPIONS.
Sean was #5 Speaker. Minjoo Kim was #2 Speaker and Best Speaker in the MS Grand Final.
Everest WSDC (June 21-23, 2024)
86 teams (many of them WSDC national teams) competed in this event.
Leaders Listen (Irene Park, Jaesuh Shin & Seah Jin) broke 2nd (ahead of KWSDC) and were Octofinalists. Irene ranked 5th, Jaesuh ranked 26th, Seah ranked 40th.
Leaders Legends (Bill Cho, Eilliot Suh, Sean Chung & Yoon Kim) broke 10th and were Octofinalists. Bill ranked 23rd. Sean ranked 30th, Elliot ranked 50th.
And a special shout out to Leaders Academy alumni for being CHAMPIONS of this fiercely competitive tournament.
Thistle Cup (June 28-30, 2024)
40 teams (majority national teams) competed; KWSDC made it to the Finals.
Leaders Legends broke 8th and were Quarterfinalists. Jiyoo Choi ranked 15th, Minnie Kim Ranked 27th, Bill Cho ranked 36th & Elliot Suh ranked 42nd.

Doxbridge WSDC (July 5-7, 2024)

20 teams competed in U12 & 32 teams competed in U14.
Leaders IYKYK (Abraham Yoo, Daniel Kwon, Jaehoon Jung & Sean Lee) broke 1st in U14 & were U14 CHAMPIONS. Sean was #7 Speaker,
Daniel #16, Jaehoon #18 & Abe was #34.
Leaders Skibidebaters (Agnes Kim, Ella Kim & Ian Kim) broke 2nd in U12 & were U12 Semifinalists. Agnes & Ian were #6 Speakers & Ella was #14.

Prague Debate Spring (July 11-14, 2024)
66 teams from across the globe participated offline in Prague for this pre-WSDC event.
Leaders Legends ranked 23rd and was the 2nd highest ranking team that was not part of a national team program. They just barely missed the break.
From Leaders Legends, Bill Cho ranked 48th, Sean Chung 59th, Chehwan Kim 70th (and 12th EFL), Yoon Kim 82nd (and 19th EFL) & Joseph Kang 90th.
Leaders Listen (Annie Cho, Irene Park, Jane Helen Lee, Jaesuh Shin & Seah Jin) ranked 26th, 12th ESL & was the 3rd non-national team.
Jane Helen Lee was 5th best Novice Speaker.

East Asia Round Robin (EARR) 9 (August 3, 2024)
Asian MS teams competed in this quarterly event with this as our thinnest crowd yet.
Leaders Loose Cannons (Alicia Yoo, Jimin Lee & Kelly Kim) broke 2nd and were Grand Finalists. Jimin Lee was #3 speaker, Kelly Kim was #8 & Alicia Yoo was #13.

Asia Pacific Public Speaking Championships (August 3-4, 2024)

80 General League teams (20 from Leaders) & 30 EFL teams (5 from Leaders). Grades 6-9.
All five EFL League teams advanced, a perfect record once again. Incendio (Gaeun Lily Heo, Sooyoung Sue Nam & Yewon Ella Im) were EFL Quarterfinalists.
Twinkle Twinkle Basilisk (Diana Jung, John Kwon & Olivia Oh) and Breakers (Grace Kim, Jenny Shin & Yaya Liu) both advanced to EFL Octofinals.
Blobfish was undefeated in prelims & the Top-Breaking EFL Team, they made it to EFL Octofinals.
Sunny Jun was the Top EFL Speaker, Hyun Joon Jung was #3 & Hael Lee was #4.
Utopia (Ellie Key, Ga-eun Ryu & Sian Chang) broke third and were ultimately the EFL GRAND CHAMPIONS. Sian & Ellie also tied for 7th best EFL speaker.
Leaders teams in the General League saw 11/32 Double Octos (34%), 7/16 Octofinalists (44%), after which it was set, 4 Leaders teams would fight it out to be in the Grand Finals.
General League Double Octofinalists included Patrick Debateman (Dano Kim, Lauren Kim & Yubin Baek) broke 31st, Hotshots (Colin Oh, Juwon Park & Kayden Hong) broke 29th, Also in Double Octos were S and B (Eliana Joo, Jion Choi & Jiseo Lee) broke 23rd with 3 wins & FYI (Jayden Lee, Rachel Yeun Lee & William Suh) broke 19th with 3 wins General League Octofinalists included 12th breaking Moggers (Claire Na, Daniel Kwon & Jaehoon Jung), 8th breaking Armored (Jeeyoo Kim, Jimin Lee & Zooey Allen), Rounding out our Octofinalists was 6th breaking Knockouts (Kevin Kim, Minjoo Kim & Seah Jin), where Kevin Kim was #2 General League Speaker and Minjoo Kim was #7.
General League Quarterfinalists included 9th breaking Galvanized Square Steel (David Park, Heejin Avery Nam & Jaden Yang) who had 3 wins and high speaks
in Prelims, and LeDonTatum (Bill Cho, Joseph Kang & Sean Chung) were undefeated in prelims, beating the General League Champions.
They finished as Quarterfinalists.
General League Semifinals extended the Leaders v Leaders of Quarters with 16th breaking UMJ Sigma (Abraham Yoo, Jihan Sean Lee & Sua Bae) falling to the Leaders Finalists. Cookin (Elliot Suh, Minnie Kim & Yoon Kim) went undefeated until the last round, but came up just shy of the perfect record as General League Grand Finalists.

KIDA Open (August 24-25, 2024)
37 teams (mainly college debaters) competed in this BP event at Hanyang University.
Congratulations to Jame (Chehwan Kim & Sean Chung) for breaking 2nd in the Novice Division and becoming NOVICE CHAMPIONS.
Chehwan was #5 Novice Speaker. Sean was #7.

ASO BP - SE (August 31-September 1, 2024)
PawPrints (Daniel Jeongmin Kwon & Jaehoon Jung) broke 1st in U13 & were U13 CHAMPIONS.
Daniel ranked 8th best speaker and Jaehoon ranked 10th best speaker.
Cartwheel (Brooke Lai & Claire Lee) broke 1st in U18 & were U18 CHAMPIONS. Brooke was the 2nd best speaker and Claire ranked 6th best speaker.
U13 Finalists included Plug (Eliana Joo & Sian Chang), and Disappointed (Juhan Kim & Ryan Cho) were U13 Quarterfinalists.
Eliana ranked 10th and Sian ranked 13th in U13. Ryan ranked 27th and Juhan ranked 28th in U13.
Thermometer (Joseph Kang and Sua Bae) were Semifinalists in U15 and Joseph was 7th best speaker, Sua ranked 17th.
Smiling Eyes and Fist Hand were U18 Semifinalists. Irene Park was 1st best speaker and Jaesuh was 2nd. Kaiden ranked 4th and Daniel ranked 13th in U18.

House (Ga-eun Ryu, Heiryung Claire Na, and Lauren Kim) were 6th team and Octofinalist in U-13. Ga-eun and Claire were 6th best speakers in U-11 and Lauren was
8th best speaker in U-11 and Northeast Asia.
Baggage (Evan Won, Chloe Chae and Tony Hyun) were Octofinalist in U-12. Chloe was 6th best speaker and Tony was 7th best speaker in U-11.
Billiards (Sophia Kang, Roy Kim and Benjamin Ahn) were Semifinalists in U-11. Roy was 8th best speaker in U-10. Sophia and Benjamin were 10th in U-11.

Trans Pacific WSDC (October 4-6, 2024)
40 teams competed in this WSDC event.
Leaders Learning (Eliana Joo, Sian Chang, Daniel Kwon and Jaehoon Jung) were NOVICE CHAMPIONS, Top Novice Team and Top U14 Team.
Eliana was 3rd best novice speaker and BEST U14 speaker. Sian was 4th novice best speaker and 5th in U14. Daniel was 6th best novice speaker and 9th in U14.
Jaehoon was 9th best novice speaker and 12th in U14.

Asia Junior WSDC (October 12-13, 2024)
80 teams competed in this WSDC event.
Lasses (Leah Lim, Jiwoo Kim, Erica Ma and Zooey Allen) and Longevity (Roy Kim, Chloe Chae and Tony Hyun) both advanced to Quarterfinalists.
Longevity was Top 3, U11 team and Lasses was Top 8 U13 team.

Leaders Lasses (Jimin Lee, Lauren Kim and Heejin Avery Nam) were NOVICE CHAMPIONS, Top 4 Novice Team and Top 4 U14 team. Jimin was 2nd Best U14 speaker

Australasian Schools Debate Championships (November 2-3)
20 teams competed in Australasian Schools Debate Championships.
Tornado (Junseo Lee and Daniel Lee) advanced to the Grand Final in the U-18 category. Junseo ranked #6 speaker in U-15 and Co #9 speakers of South Korea.
Daniel ranked #7 in U-15 and Co #10 speakers from South Korea.

Australasian Junior Debate Championship (November 9-10)
82 teams from Asia competed in this event.
Fries (Ian Baik, Maxi Kim and Soyun Lee) advanced to the Semi Final in U-10 and Wolf (Elva Lee, Crystal Yoon and Emily In) were Quarterfinalists.
Ian was Co #4 speakers and Maxi was 2nd speaker in U-9. Soyun was #9 speaker in U-10. Elva and Emily were Co #10 speakers in U-10.
Full Moon (Sunny Jun, Leauren Kim and Ellie Nam) were Semifinalists in U-13. Sunny was one of Co #10 speakers in U-13 and South Korea. Lauren was one of #9
speaker in U-13, South Korea and Northeast Asia.
Ribbon (Michael Jegal, Sophia Kang and Elin Park) were Grandfinalists in U-11. Michael was Co 8th speaker and Sophia was 10th speaker in U-11. Elin was 4th
speaker in U-11 and Co 10th speaker in South Korea and Northeast Asia.
Roller Coaster (Jeremy Cha, Jessie Park and Tony Ha) were Semifinalists in U-13. Tony was Co 9th speaker in U-12.
Snowman (Kayden Hong, Juwon Park and Daoom Ra) were Grandfinalists in U-13.
Truck (Gianna Kim, Ella Kim and Agnes Kim) didn’t break.
Unalive (Chloe Jung, Leo Lim and Emma Jeong) didn't break, but Chloe and Emma were Co 9th speaker in U-9.

Singapore ISDC (November 21-24)
74 teams participated in this event.

Leaders Learning (David Park, Sian Chang, Daniel Kwon and Eliana Joo) didn’t break.
Leaders Launch ranked 2nd in Novice division.

Cambridge Asia British Parliamentary North Asia Championship (November 23-24)
20 teams from North Asian countries competed in CABP North Asia Championship.
SFS (Jun Seo Lee and Jayden Lee) were Semifinalists and 6th in Prelims.
Yongsan (Dillon Kim and his partner) were 9th in Prelims but didn’t break.

Korean Public Speaking Championship (November 30)
Three students qualified for WIDPSC. Congratulations to Jane Helen Lee for being the TOP PERSUASIVE SPEAKER, Grand Finalist and OVERALL CHAMPION!
Chehwan Kim was the TOP AFTER DINNER SPEAKER and Grand FInalist. and Jane Hahn was the TOP INTERPRETIVE READER and Grand Finalist.

KSDA Jr & Sr (December 7-8)
10 teams competed in KSDA Junior and 16 teams competed in KSDA senior.
In KSDA Junior, Telescope (Roy Kim, Tony Hyun, Ryan Ko and Elizabeth Seo) were Semifinalists. Roy was #2, Tony was #3, Ryan was #1 speaker and Elizabeth was #1
reply speaker. Mammoth (Hai Lee, Jayden Bahk, Ryan Kim and Ryan Kwak), Scales (Hannah Kim, Celine Kim and Sunmin Kim), Croc (Leo Lim, Liam Won and Kevin Lee)
and Pager (Chloe Jung, Crystal Yoon, Emily In and Emily Jung) didn’t break. Bat (Hyewon Lee, Sia Ryu and Alex Park) were Grandfinalists. Gear (Doehoon Kim, Kyle
Son, Jaden Yu and Yunje Roh) were Semifinalists.
