    Development (Ethan An and Michelle Ko) were JUNIOR CHAMPIONS. Ethan An earned 17th best speaker in a tournament filled with WSDC debaters. 

Junior World Schools Debating Championship (June 17-18) Elementary & Middle School     Total 14 ES teams, 38 MS teams, 45 ES Speakers, 138 MS Speakers, ES CHAMPIONS 

    Leading the Weigh (Chehwan Kim, Joseph Kang, Sean Chung & Yoon Kim) Middle School division top breaking team and GRAND FINALISTS. Joseph Kang was Top Speaker. 

Leaders Not Followers (Claire Na, Daniel Kwon & Jaehoon Jung) Elementary division 2nd breaking and GRAND CHAMPIONS. Jaehoon Jung was the Finals' best speaker. 

Leaders Lasses (Anna Kang, Claire Yoo & Jessica Lee) Elementary division Semifinalists. Jessica Lee was 4th best speaker.  



Asia Pacific Debate Championship 2023 (June 24-25, 2023)                     Total 49 teams, 147 speakers, U16 Grand FInalists, Top U13 Speaker 

    Maple Leaf (Abe Yoo, Sean Lee & Sua Bae) were U16 GRAND FINALISTS. Abe Yoo was #4 U13 speaker, Sua Bae was #2 U13 speaker, and Sean Lee was the #1 U13 speaker. 

Sneezing (Bill Cho, Charlotte Kim & Jason Chung) were U16 Semifinalists 

Pricey Fruit (Avy Lee, Gunhee Lee & Jayden Choe) were Quarterfinalists 

Nose (Aiden Ko, Claire Lee & Daniel Kim) were U16 Quarterfinalists 



Doxbridge (June 30-July 2, 2023)                                 Total 124 teams, 472 speakers competed in the largest WSDC event of the year

    Better Call Seoul (Alvin Song, Connie Han, Jane Hahn & Jason Lee) won four of six rounds and had high enough speaker points to be 37 out of 124 teams. 

    All three Leaders Academy teams were in the top half at an event filled with WSDC national teams. Bill Cho ranked in the top 100 (of 472) before entering high school.

Leaders Seoul (Alvin Song, Connie Han, Jason Lee & Kaitlyn Song) ranked in the top half of an offline tournament filled with WSDC national teams.

AERRO 5 (October 21, 2023)                                 Total 6 teams from Australia, China & Korea, 24 speakers

    Korea Blue (Hyunjoon Jong, Ian Kim, Yena Choi & Zooey Allen) Top-Breaking Team & GRAND FINALISTS. Yena was Top Speaker, Hyunjoon was 2nd, Ian was 4th, and Zooey was 6th. 

    Korea Red (Ellie Nam, Jimin Lee, Josephine Kim & Lauren Kim) were #2 prelim team, but could not advance to finals. Jimin Lee was 5th best speaker. 



HAFS Debate Championship (October 22, 2023)                         Total 29 teams, 87 speakers for MS tournament hosted by HAFS, CHAMPIONS

    JFK (Greenie Lee, Hajun Kim & Leo Park) were GRAND CHAMPIONS. Greenie Lee tied for Best First Speaker. (The awards had 3 Bests for each speaker category.) 

    Adieu (Chehwan Kim, Minnie Kim & Yoon Kim) were GRAND FINALISTS. Minnie Kim tied for Best Second Speaker, Chehwan was General Best Speaker. 

    Ultra Mega Jamminonoes (Abraham Yoo, Sean Lee & Sua Bae) earned Distinction (had just one loss). Abraham Yoo tied for Best Third Speaker. 

    Also, Bill Cho tied for Best First Speaker, Irene Park tied for Best Second Speaker, Ellie Key tied for Best Third Speaker & David Park tied for Best Third Speaker.  



Northeast Asia Championship - BP (October 28-29, 2023)                    Total 36 teams, 72 speakers, all six Leaders Academy teams advanced, U14 CHAMPIONS

    Pistol (Gunhee Lee & Jaewon Choi) broke Second and were GRAND FINALISTS. Gunhee was #4 main speaker, Jaewon was #10. 

    Wastebasket (Claire Lee & partner) Third Breaking team and Quarterfinalist. Claire was #3 main speaker. 

    Hourglass (Joseph Kang & Sean Chung) were Sixth Breaking, Quarterfinalists & #4 U16 Team. Sean was #10 U14 speaker & Joseph was #18 main speaker. 

    Volcano (Jion Choi & Juhan Kim) broke to Open Quarters as U14. They were the #4 U14 team. Jion was #4 U14 Speaker & #10 main speaker. 

    Architecture (Claire Na & Daniel Kwon) were the Top-Breaking U16 Team, U16 Semifinalists & #5 U14 Team, Daniel Kwon was #10 U14 speaker. 

    Big Brain (Bernard Chang & David Park) were the Top-Breaking U14 Team and U14 CHAMPIONS. 

Shanghai International Debate Open 9 (November 3-5, 2023 @ Shanghai)             Total 92 teams, 184 speakers, 58 high school teams, 34 college or hybrid teams         YISS Queens (Claire Lee & partner) broke ninth in the HS division and advanced to HS Quarterfinals.  

Australs Junior Debate Championship (November 4-5, 2023)                     Total 24 teams, 72 speakers for this tournament open to debaters age 7 to 13

    Cash (Agnes Kim, Minjoon Lee & Tony Ha) were U11 FINALISTS. Agnes Kim was the #5 U11 Speaker. 

    Vision (Eliana Joo, Ellie Key & Sian Chang) broke fifth and were Quarterfinalists. Sian Chang was Sixth Best Speaker, Eliana & Ellie tied for Ninth, Ellie was also #4 U12. 



Pacific Schools Open (November 10-12, 2023)                         Total 32 teams, 130 speakers, including WSDC Grand Finalist teams from 2023

    Leaders Through Merit (Bill Cho, Irene Park & Minnie Kim) were the second best U15 team (prelims) and U15 semifinalists. Minnie was #9 U15 speaker. 



EARR 7 (November 12, 2023)                                 Total 6 teams and 22 speakers from Australia, China and Korea, CHAMPIONS

    Leaders Academy Team 1 (Claire Na, Daniel Kwon & Jaehoon Jung) were Top-Breaking & CHAMPIONS. Jaehoon was #3 speaker, Claire was #2 speaker & Daniel was Best Speaker. 

Leaders Academy Team 2 (Elly Kim, Seohyun Kim & Yeji Yoon) were the second breaking team and GRAND FINALISTS. 



IWSDC (December 1-3, 2023)                                 Total 67 teams, 250 speakers in the WSDC format, U14 CHAMPIONS

    Leaders Diaspora (Paul Kim, Yehee Jung & Yeji Yoon) broke Fifth in U16 &were U16 Quarterfinalists. Paul Kim was #19 main speaker. 

    Leaders Ladies (Avery Nam, Irene Joh & Minjoo Kim) broke Eighth in U14 and were U14 CHAMPIONS. Irene was the Best Speaker in the U14 Finals.

    SIS Socialists (Joseph Kang & partner) Sixth breaking team, CHAMPIONS & qualified to Oxford Schools. Joseph was Best Finals Speaker, #9 Speaker.   

    SIS Experience (Kevin Kim & partner) Second breaking team, Semifinalists & qualified to Oxford Schools. Kevin was the Second Best Speaker in the tournament 

    SFS Crusaders (JunSeo Lee & Phillip Yoon) were U15 FINALISTS. Phillip Yoon was #5 U15 speaker and Best Speaker in the U15 Finals. 

    SFS Stealth Fighters (Ein Chung & Eliana Joo) were Semifinlists & the 2nd highest U15 team. Ein Chung was #2 U15 speaker, Eliana Joo was #3 U15 Speaker. 

    KIS Phoenix (Daniel Park & Julie Kim) were the top U15 breaking & U15 FINALISTS. Daniel was the #6 U15 Speaker. 

St. Paul Eontology (Bill Cho & Seah Jin) were the U15 CHAMPIONS.  



International Public Policy Forum (2023-2024 school year)                     Total 311 teams from 27 nations gave way to an advancing 64 teams. 

    As of December 2023, the WSDC Development class team (Bill Cho, Charlie Kim, Claire Lee, Joseph Kang, Minnie Kim & Sean Kang) were still advancing in this year-long event.
